Guerilla Bike Festival
Cyclists who ride "unusual" bikes are invited to take part in a charity Lands End to John O'Groats event this October to raise money for Leicester-based CycleMagic which provides training and adapted bikes for disabled people, enabling them to keep fitter and gain more mobility than they would with electric scooters.
The ride begins in Cornwall on the 2nd of October and covers approximately a 1600km over two weeks. Unicycles, penny farthings and an assortment of the other oddities which people dream up in their garden sheds are expected and, as organiser Roger Lovell says, will create "quite a stir" along the way. If you're not up for the full distance, you can join and leave at any point along the way - so start finding sponsors today. If you don't have an unusual bike, you've got four months in which to build one!
